Unique Freestanding Desk or Dining Table by Roger De Winter for E.MY., 1965

€0.00

Exceptional modernist dining table or freestanding desk designed by Belgian modernist architect Roger De Winter for E.M.Y. around 1965. It features a beautiful rosewood top which can be extended from 180cm-240cm thanks to a central leaf. The refined metal base with sledge feet gives this piece a very modern and sophisticated look. Clearly inspired by the works of Jules Wabbes. Comes from the first owner who took very good care of it as it remains in mint condition. Very interesting and unique table desk!

Roger De Winter (23/02/1923 - 19/03/2001) was a Belgian architect, active between 1948 and 1992. From 1954, De Winter started his own practice of residential houses and some buildings for small businesses in the region of Vilvoorde and in Brussels. Between 1958 and 1975 he worked mainly as a freelance designer for the furniture manufacturer E.M.Y., alongside Jean Batenburg.
