RARE 'EUROP' BAR CABINET BY PIETER DE BRUYNE FOR V-FORM, 1961
Beautiful bar cabinet designed by Pieter De Bruyne for V-Form. Around 1961 Oswald Vermaercke and V-Form attracted a couple of bigger names like Emiel Veranneman and Pieter De Bruyne to design furniture for the company. This cabinet is part of the ‘Europ’ series which De Bruyne designed and was part of a complete dining room ensemble as documented in the V-Form book. It’s made of Indian Rosewood and has beautiful metal details. This example remains in very good original condition. It seems to me that the ‘Europ’ series is produced only in very low numbers because they are rarely offered. So a unique opportunity to own a rare piece of Belgian design history and we also have the matching sideboard available.
