Pair of Black & Marble Cabinets by Alfred Hendrickx for Belform, 1970s
Pair of Black & Marble Cabinets by Alfred Hendrickx for Belform, 1970s
Two very rare cabinets in black and marble designed by Alfred Hendrickx in the 1970s. Very simple but classy design with luxurious materials like the matching Carrara marble used for the top and block feet. The metal handles provide a modern touch. Inside there are glass shelves and one cabinet also has a drawer. It seems to me Alfred Hendrickx was inspired by Florence Knoll for these beautiful gems. The two cabinets can be placed together to form a long double sideboard of 260cm. I have one catalog picture from a family member of Alfred Hendrickx (see last photo) but there is not much information to be found as these are extremely rare and uncommon. Now available in fully restored condition!
