UNIQUE PAIR OF MODERNIST LOUNGE CHAIRS IN THE STYLE OF BØRGE MOGENSEN, 1960S
Quite an exceptional find this fantastic pair of modernist lounge chairs. They are produced in the factory of Van Den Berghe-Pauvers in Ghent during the 1960s by an employee who wanted to make some nice chairs for himself. He was clearly inspired by ‘Model 2256’ by Børge Mogensen and also very skillful because the quality of these chairs is of a very high standard with great details such as the visible joints. The architectural frames are made of solid walnut and they come with the original blue/black leather cushions. Fun fact: the chairs have adjustable back supports for maximum comfort. Unique pair!
