EARLY TEAK 'GRAND PRIX' CHAIR BY ARNE JACOBSEN FOR FRITZ HANSEN, 1950S

€0.00

Mid-century modern iconic ‘Grand Prix’ chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1957. Later that year, the chair was displayed at the Triennale in Milan where it received the Grand Prix, the finest distinction of the exhibition.

This early chair has the Fritz Hansen tag embossed directly on the wood beneath the seat made out of teak wood and the mounting of the 4 separate legs show that this is a rare first edition production. A true collector’s item in good condition with one small restoration spot.
